Episode 20

Does the Killer Know Why He Kills? | Signs of the Hour Ep. 20

About this lecture

In this episode of Signs of the Hour, Dr. Omar Suleiman explores the prophetic warnings about *Al-Harj* — the epidemic of senseless killing that marks the approach of the Last Hour — and examines how modern warfare, mass shootings, and societal breakdown reflect these signs. He reconciles two seemingly contradictory sets of hadith: one commanding believers to defend themselves and resist oppression, and another instructing them to disarm entirely during times of civil Fitna — drawing out a unifying principle that the believer's every action, even in self-defense, must be anchored in the preservation of their deen and the refusal to normalize injustice.
