Yasir Qadhi – Syria Crisis: O Bilaad al-Shaam! You are in our hearts!

About this lecture

In this powerful khutbah, Shaykh Yasir Qadhi draws on Quranic verses and authentic hadith to highlight the profound sanctity of Bilad al-Sham (Greater Syria) in Islamic tradition, tracing its blessings from the time of the Prophets through the conquests of the Sahaba to the events of the end times. He then turns to the ongoing Syrian crisis, urging Muslims to respond with genuine emotional connection, renewed iman, consistent dua, practical action, and unwavering trust in Allah's justice. The lecture is both a scholarly exploration of Sham's unique status in Islam and a heartfelt call to the Ummah not to remain indifferent in the face of oppression.
