19:51Still Waiting on Your Duaa?
About this lecture
In this lecture, the speaker addresses the experience of unanswered or delayed du'a, drawing on the profound self-reflection of the great scholar Ibn al-Jawzi from his book *Sayyidul Khatir*, in which Ibn al-Jawzi reasons through five powerful answers to his own soul when his prayers were delayed. Through classical Islamic wisdom, Quranic verses, hadiths, and moving stories — including the story of Sa'd ibn Abi Waqqas and the ascetic Abu Qilaba — the lecture explores the spiritual, moral, and theological reasons why du'a may be delayed, redirected, or stored away for the hereafter. Listeners are reminded that true worship means trusting Allah's wisdom unconditionally, purifying one's life to remove blockages to answered prayer, and understanding that Allah's withholding is often itself the greatest gift.
