Some of the first verses revealed in the Qur’an were condemnations of the love of wealth, verses which are pertinent to us today. Shaykh Abdal Hakim Murad teaches us how to Own Our Wealth by reminding us that we are ‘mutasaddiqin’, people who give. The Arabic word comes from ‘sadaqa’ – directly related to sincerity, truthfulness and the nature of the Prophet ﷺ.
