Dr. Zakir Naik is an Indian preacher and comparative religion debater, founder of the Islamic Research Foundation (IRF) and the Peace TV network, which at its height claimed a viewership in the hundreds of millions. A medical doctor by training, he became famous for his memorization-heavy style of quoting scriptures of multiple religions in public debates and Q&A sessions on Islam and comparative religion. His work has attracted both a massive global following and significant controversy: his organizations have been banned in India and he has faced legal proceedings there, and he currently resides in Malaysia.
