Yassir Fazaga

Shaykh Yassir Fazaga is an Eritrean-American imam, speaker, and licensed psychotherapist. He moved to the United States as a teenager, embraced serious Islamic study, and earned a degree in Islamic theology from the Institute of Islamic and Arabic Sciences in Virginia along with a master's degree in psychotherapy (marriage and family therapy). He served for many years as religious leader of the Orange County Islamic Foundation in California. His lectures uniquely blend mental health, self-esteem, and spirituality, making him a pioneer of psychologically informed Islamic preaching in English.
