Ustadha Roohi Tahir is an American educator and the founder and director of Nur Institute, dedicated to accessible foundational Islamic education for women. She holds a BS with honors in Computer Engineering, and after a career in technology pursued formal Islamic studies, earning a diploma and pursuing advanced degrees in Islamic Studies from the Islamic Online University / graduate programs. She is a Fellow and instructor with the Yaqeen Institute, where she has contributed research on repentance and spirituality, and teaches seminars on aqeedah, fiqh of worship, and spiritual growth.
