Ammar AlShukry

Ammar AlShukry is a poet, writer, and instructor with the AlMaghrib Institute based in Houston, Texas. Of Sudanese heritage and raised in New York City, he is celebrated for blending classical Islamic learning with contemporary spoken-word poetry, and his renditions of Islamic poetry have been viewed millions of times online. He teaches seminars across North America on the names of Allah, the seerah, and relationships, and co-hosts popular Islamic podcasts and media projects.
