In this lecture, Imam Suhaib Webb explores how Ramadan should inspire Muslims to move beyond isolation and actively engage with the broader society around them. Drawing on the Quranic concept of taqwa and the prophetic emphasis on good character and service to all people, he challenges Muslims — especially younger generations — to become "walking tafsirs" of Islam through volunteerism, civic participation, and institution building. Using vivid examples from Hurricane Katrina relief efforts, he makes a compelling case that authentic Islamic values, when lived out publicly, are among the most powerful forms of dawah.
