One does wonder between Coronavirus and Racism which one is more endemic in the US. Although, the Muslim world has its own share of racist slurs and attitudes, this is due to the absence of Islam in our lives. The Rasool (saw) clearly said that the best among you is the one stronger in piety, and since piety is between one and Allah (swt), it is not always clear who has more value – of course, outward actions for the sake of Allah (swt) are indications as well. Despite that, Islam does not allow one to think highly of himself to cause discrimination. This is why Islam easily eradicated racism (see https://www.islamiqate.com/3961/how-did-islam-eradicate-racism) because the colors of our skins or hairs are but signs of Allah (swt). The Western model can’t and won’t ever solve this problem. It is imprinted on their foreheads.
