Yasir Qadhi – Sanctity & Value of Life: Egypt, Syria, Burma

About this lecture

In this powerful khutbah, Shaykh Yasir Qadhi addresses the simultaneous crises facing the Muslim ummah — the plight of the Rohingya in Burma, the military crackdown in Egypt, and the devastating chemical weapons attack on civilians in Syria. Drawing on Quranic verses and authentic hadith, he articulates the supreme sanctity of human life in Islam, the severe punishment awaiting those who shed innocent blood, and the prophetic predictions that foreshadow these very events as signs of the end times. He concludes with five practical action points — from cultivating empathy and making du'a, to strengthening one's iman and recognizing these trials as divinely foretold — reminding believers to never despair of Allah's help.
