About this lecture
In this session we want the audience to hear the story of Iblis, and the promises he made to Allah after his refusal to bow to Adam (PBUH). After looking into the detailed story of Shaytaan and how and why he became the way he is, we want to give the audience an idea of some of the tricks Shaytan uses to stray believers from the straight path. Taking a look at Shaytan’s story from beginning to end, with a new, more profound insight, as well as a look into his tricks and trap, will allow the audience to have a better understanding of the enemy and how he manipulates mankind.
Shaykh Saad Tasleem is an AlMaghrib Institute instructor. In his past life, Shaykh Saad was the lead singer of a punk rock band, and used to snowboard and skateboard, but he's still rocking his Converse sneakers like a boss! There’s probably nobody better than him to understand the plight of Muslim youth in the face of today’s pop culture pressures. Shaykh Saad studied Art History, Modern Art, Graphic Design, and Psychology at the University of Maryland. He started his Islamic education at IIASA in Fairfax, VA. He then went on to study in the Islamic University of Madinah where he dedicated himself to the study of Islamic Sciences. He graduated with a Bachelor’s from the Faculty of Shariah, University of Madinah.
