Omar Usman – The Shaykh ‘N Bake Shame Grenade: A Muslim Internet Phenomenon

About this lecture

In this lecture, Omar Usman coins the term "Shaykh 'N Bake" to describe a pervasive online phenomenon in which Muslims use shame, guilt, and false humility to attack, derail, or discredit the good work of others. Drawing on real examples from social media, he exposes the manipulative tactics behind the "shame grenade" and "spiritual blackmail," and offers a powerful reminder rooted in prophetic guidance: whatever good work you are doing, keep doing it — and don't let the noise stop you.
