Omar Suleiman – Following the Stars of Islam

About this lecture

In this inspiring lecture, Sheikh Omar Suleiman uses the lessons of Surah Al-Shams and the stories of the companions to show that success in Islam is determined not by one's circumstances but by the sincerity and truthfulness of one's heart. Drawing on the contrasting journeys of figures like Bilal, Salman Al-Farisi, Abu Bakr As-Siddiq, Zayd ibn Amr ibn Nufayl, and the scholar Abdul Hamid Al-Kishk, he challenges Muslims to move beyond a "getting by" mentality and strive to be among the forerunners in every generation. The lecture concludes with a powerful reminder that Allah multiplies the rewards of those who persevere in difficult times, and that a life of sincere worship can be crowned with a beautiful death.
