18:10Do You Love To Argue?
About this lecture
In this khutbah, the speaker uses the Quranic portrait of the hypocrite Al-Akhnas ibn Shuraik — described as أَلَدُّ الْخِصَامِ, the most quarrelsome of people — to warn believers against the deeply disliked trait of arguing for the sake of arguing. Drawing on hadith from Bukhari and Muslim and the example of Imam Al-Shafi'i, the lecture calls Muslims to replace the need to always be right with humility, gentleness, and a sincere love for the truth.
