About this lecture

In this lecture, Sheikh Mokhtar Maghraoui explores the theme of rahma (often translated as mercy, but intentionally left untranslated) as embodied in the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Drawing on numerous authentic hadith, he illustrates how rahma extended to all of creation — humans, animals, birds, and even enemies — through stories such as the captive mother, the bird and her fledglings, the Bedouin in the masjid, and the Prophet's pardon of Ghawrath ibn al-Harith. A central message of the lecture is that gentleness (rifq) is a fruit of rahma, and that all those engaged in da'wah must embody both qualities to be effective and true to the prophetic example.
