Jamal BadawiDr. Jamal Badawi is an Egyptian-Canadian scholar and one of the pioneering figures of Islamic da'wah and education in North America. Professor Emeritus at Saint Mary's University in Halifax, where he taught management and religious studies, he produced the landmark 352-episode television series "Islam in Focus" and authored influential works on gender equity in Islam, Jesus in the Qur'an, and comparative religion. He has served on the Fiqh Council of North America and the European Council for Fatwa and Research, and has been a beloved voice in interfaith dialogue for decades.
