Hamza Yusuf – United We Stand: One Destiny

About this lecture

In this wide-ranging lecture, Sheikh Hamza Yusuf addresses a Muslim-American audience on the theme of unity and shared destiny, weaving together reflections on American history, civil liberties, racial justice, economic inequality, foreign policy, and the Muslim community's deep roots in the United States. Drawing on Islamic scholarship, Western literature, and personal family history, he challenges both Muslim and non-Muslim Americans to confront the contradictions of modern life, reject false us-versus-them narratives, and work together toward a more just and humane society. The lecture is equal parts critique, hope, and call to action.
