HOW DOES HE STAY IN THIS RIGHTEOUS STATE?? Every thing that leaves dear Shaykh Hamza Yusufs mouth is a new, stronger guidance. May Allah bless us with wisdom and understanding like his, and increase him in his guidance, that he may illustrate to us what a real muslim is supposed to look like. Everyone needs a living example to look up to. He is mine, may Allah be pleased with him.
If you wish to follow someone, follow the deceased as they cannot be lead astray. Whereas someone who is alive can be lead astray and in turn lead you astray if you follow him. We take what is good from scholars and refrain from what is NOT according to the Sunnah and the traditions of the Salihoon and muttaqoon.
Ali: I am assuming you know better than Shaykh Hamza regarding what is Sunnah and from the traditions of the Salihoon and muttaqoon? May Allah remove your ignorance & arrogance in this blessed month of Ramadan, Ameen.
May Allah swt help us to speak good and keep silent, May Allah squash our ego and keep us from being prone to argumentation.
Brother Ali is right by saying,
“If you wish to follow someone, follow the deceased as they cannot be lead astray.”
The same thing is said here by this brother,

Brother Ali is right, in that “If you wish to follow someone, follow the deceased as they cannot be lead astray.”
But more specifically, follow the companions of the Prophet SAW. As that statement (“If you wish to follow someone, follow the deceased as they cannot be lead astray.”) was said by Abdullah bin Mas’ud to the first generation of Muslims.
May Allah protect br.Hamza. He is a great scholar who inspires our new generation and many non muslims and leads them to love Islam.
