Tamara GrayDr. Tamara Gray is an American scholar, author, and the founder and executive director of Rabata, an organization dedicated to promoting positive cultural change through women's Islamic scholarship. She embraced Islam in the 1980s and spent two decades living and studying in Damascus, Syria, where she received ijazahs in Qur'an, Islamic law, and the sacred sciences from senior female and male scholars. She holds a doctorate in leadership and is the author of "Joy Jots" and translator/author of works on women's spirituality. Through Rabata's Ribaat Academic Program, she has built one of the largest online Islamic learning platforms for women in the world.
