About this lecture

In this powerful khutbah, Abu Taubah draws on Quranic verses, hadith, and frank real-talk to deliver a two-part message: that guarding our tongues and establishing sincere salah are the foundational remedies for the problems facing the Muslim community. He then unpacks the famous hadith of "Five Before Five," urging believers — especially young people — to seize their youth, health, wealth, free time, and life itself before each is taken away.

Abu Taubah was born and raised in New York and grew up with a love for education, language and teaching. He spent a number of years studying in rural Mauritania under a number of scholars in the traditional way. He has mastered the Arabic language and its sciences, memorised the Quran with Ijazah and has also studied Hadeeth, Aqeedah, Usul al Fiqh and Fiqh. He is the founder the Foundation of Islamic Knowledge Seminary (The FIKS) where he provides online learning of Arabic and Islamic studies to a number of students from around the world. Abu Taubah currently resides with his family in Orlando, Florida. He is a popular teacher who is a welcome addition to AlKauthar Institute.
