   Assalamu alaikum,

   Nice question Zehr! I guess the answer is that Anwar Awlaki speaks about Jihad without any hesitation, whereas people in the US has declared that Jihad is haram; the offense of Anwar Awlaki is so great that his lectures such as Hereafter, Stories of the Prophet, Life of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) etc. also deserved to be banned. SubhanAllah!
