About this lecture

In this khutbah, Abu Taubah reminds us that our account with Allah is drawing ever closer, yet our hearts remain distracted by the trivial pursuits of this world. Drawing on Quranic verses, the famous hadith of "five before five," and a practical framework of time management, he challenges us to prioritize the purification of our hearts over outward appearances, make the most of our youth, health, and free time, and spend our resources in the way of Allah — including supporting displaced Muslims in Pakistan.

Abu Taubah was born and raised in New York and grew up with a love for education, language and teaching. He spent a number of years studying in rural Mauritania under a number of scholars in the traditional way. He has mastered the Arabic language and its sciences, memorised the Quran with Ijazah and has also studied Hadeeth, Aqeedah, Usul al Fiqh and Fiqh. He is the founder the Foundation of Islamic Knowledge Seminary (The FIKS) where he provides online learning of Arabic and Islamic studies to a number of students from around the world. Abu Taubah currently resides with his family in Orlando, Florida. He is a popular teacher who is a welcome addition to AlKauthar Institute.
