Karen Danielson

Karen Danielson is an American Muslim educator, interfaith leader, and outreach director who embraced Islam in the early 1980s after being raised Catholic and studying at a Baptist college. She earned a Master's degree from the University of Jordan's Institute for the Study of Islam, taught Islamic history at Aqsa School in Chicago, and has served as Outreach Director for the Muslim American Society (MAS) Chicago, Executive Board Secretary of the Council of Islamic Organizations of Greater Chicago, and in leadership roles at the Mosque Foundation in Bridgeview. Her lectures focus on conversion, interfaith understanding, women in Islam, and American Muslim identity; her story has been featured on NPR.
